{"id":1077,"date":"2011-03-01T16:30:45","date_gmt":"2011-03-01T15:30:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aomoi.net\/blogg\/?p=1077"},"modified":"2011-04-01T10:31:41","modified_gmt":"2011-04-01T08:31:41","slug":"vatikanet-til-caritas-internationalis-en-katolsk-institusjon-ma-vaere-katolsk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aomoi.net\/blogg\/2011\/03\/vatikanet-til-caritas-internationalis-en-katolsk-institusjon-ma-vaere-katolsk\/","title":{"rendered":"Vatikanet til Caritas Internationalis: &laquo;En katolsk institusjon m\u00e5 v\u00e6re katolsk&raquo;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thetablet.co.uk\/article\/15956\">Tha Tablet melder<\/a> at Vatikanet har blandet seg inn i diskusjonen om hvem som skal bli\/fortsette som leder av Caritas Internationalis, og skriver:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Vatican has indicated that it blocked  Lesley-Anne Knight from a second term at the helm of the Church\u2019s largest development organisation because <strong>it wants a new leader who can strengthen its Catholic identity and forge more cordial working relations with the Holy See<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Rome\u2019s reasons for failing to allow the re-appointment of Dr Knight as secretary general of the Rome-based Caritas Internationalis (CI) are given in a letter sent by the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone SDB, to all the world\u2019s episcopal conferences and seen this week by The Tablet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the next four years particular attention will have to be given to harmonising the theological dimension of Caritas Internationalis \u2026 with its role as an organisation operating on the international stage,\u201d says the three-page letter, dated 15 February. It adds that the next CI secretary general will also need to improve communication with other ecclesial bodies and with the dicasteries of the Roman Curia that have an \u201cinterest\u201d in CI activities.<\/p>\n<p>The letter, which was also sent to bishops responsible for the 165 member charities that make up the Caritas confederation, further indicates that the advocacy work that Caritas carries out must be better coordinated \u201cin strict cooperation with the Holy See, which is specifically competent in this regard\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Similar sentiments were echoed on Tuesday by the head of the papal charity office charged with monitoring Caritas Internationalis. \u201cWe can be competent in organising, but lack certain qualities for coordinating the work or reinforcing Catholic identity,\u201d said Cardinal Robert Sarah, president of the Pontifical Council \u201cCor Unum\u201d, when asked by The Tablet why the Vatican denied Dr Knight the nihil obstat required for re-election. &#8230;. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Jeg m\u00e5 si at jeg ikkje kjente til at noe slikt var i ferd med \u00e5 skje.
