Og det handler jo ogs\u00e5 bare om hvilken vei presten vender seg ca 10 minutter i l\u00f8pet av messen. P\u00e5 (den noks\u00e5 liberale\/ moederne) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2016\/07\/05\/cardinal-sarah-asks-priests-to-start-celebrating-mass-facing-east-this-advent\/\">liturgibloggen Pray Tell fikk et innlegg om kardinal Sarahs forslag<\/a> om at prestene b\u00f8r vende seg ad orientem 148 kommentarer p\u00e5 tre dager f\u00f8r debatten ble stoppet.<\/p>\n<p>I et <a href=\"http:\/\/www.praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2016\/07\/11\/it-is-better-to-avoid-using-the-expression-the-reform-of-the-reform\/\">annet innlegg p\u00e5 samme liturgiblogg<\/a> kan vi lese ganske treffende i kommentar 35 og 36:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>#35<br \/>\n&#8230; Cardinal Sarah said nothing controversial about ad orientem, unless ad orientem, the ancient and traditional Catholic practice, which is alive in the Church today, is controversial.<\/p>\n<p>Eastern Catholics celebrate ad orientem. Catholics who offer the Mass of Pope Saint John XIII celebrate ad orientem. Catholics in the Ordinariates celebrate ad orientem. Catholic bishops and priests offer the Ordinary Form ad orientem.<\/p>\n<p>Pope Francis has celebrated ad orientem.<\/p>\n<p>The Orthodox celebrate ad orientem.<\/p>\n<p>Never did Cardinal Sarah say even one word that should have led anyone to say that Pope Francis planned to implement ad orientem Mass at Advent.<\/p>\n<p>There wasn\u2019t anything \u201ccontroversial\u201d (unless an ancient and totally acceptable Catholic liturgical practice, which is alive today) about ad orientem. There isn\u2019t anything controversial about promoting ad orientem.<\/p>\n<p>Cardinal Sarah did nothing wrong. I also don\u2019t accept the interpretation that the press release indicated that Pope Francis \u201cslapped down\u201d Cardinal Sarah. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>#36<br \/>\nIf the explosion on the blogosphere in the last few days have shown anything, it is that promoting ad orientem it is highly controversial!<\/p>\n<p>Note, I am not one to condemn ad orientem, nor have I done so. I have celebrated ad orientem. But I\u2019m perfectly aware that promoting it \u2013 which I don\u2019t do \u2013 is highly controversial.<\/p>\n<p>I suppose one should that that it SHOULDN\u2019T be controversial, that there\u2019s NO REASON why it should be. But yet, it is.
