Jeg var flere \u00e5r sammen med Frans Xaverius-s\u00f8strene i Bergen, derfor kjenner jeg ekstra godt til denne kjente jesuitten og misjon\u00e6ren (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.katolsk.no\/biografier\/historisk\/fxavier\">les om ham her<\/a>). Hans legeme ligger i Goa i India, mens hans h\u00f8yre underarm og h\u00e5nd har i alle \u00e5r ligget i jesuittenes hovedkirke i Roma. <\/p>\n<p>Hans arm var ogs\u00e5 &laquo;p\u00e5 reise&raquo; p\u00e5 500 \u00e5rs-markeringen av hans f\u00f8dsel i 2006 (da jeg bodde i Roma), og n\u00e5 skal den alts\u00e5 til Canada &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.catholicherald.co.uk\/news\/2017\/12\/05\/st-francis-xaviers-arm-gets-own-plane-seat-for-canada-tour\/\">leser vi p\u00e5 Catholic Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>St Francis Xavier\u2019s severed right forearm and hand will embark on a month-long tour of Canada in the New Year.<\/p>\n<p>The relic, which is usually displayed in a side-chapel in the Ges\u00f9 church in Rome, will travel to Ottawa on January 3 before touring 14 cities across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on CBC Radio, Ang\u00e8le Regnier, the co-founder of Ottawa\u2019s Catholic Christian Outreach, who will accompany the arm during its tour, joked that the experience will be like \u201cdoing a road trip with a friend\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, I know it\u2019s bones, but connected to that is a living friendship with St Francis Xavier,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m sure there\u2019ll be a lot of interesting conversations as we go around.\u201d &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>St Francis Xavier is best known for his work evangelising various places in Asia, such as Japan and China.
