Deretter tok paven opp forholdet mellom v\u00e5r d\u00e5p og Jesu d\u00e5p. Han sa: \u201cIn the Jordan the heavens opened (cfr Lk 3:21) to indicate that the Saviour had opened for us the way to salvation and we can walk down it precisely thanks to the new birth \u2018of water and Spirit\u2019 (Jn 3:5) that comes about in Baptism. In this, we are inserted in the mystical Body of Christ that is the Church, we die and resurrect with Him, we are covered by Him\u201d. A responsibility and a commitment are born of this union with Christ: \u201c \u2018listening\u2019 to Jesus, that is, believing in Him and following him in docile manner and doing his will.
