Les selv:

If you’re looking for religious orders/communities to support, take a look at Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious. They’re in the habit of doing great things. Here just a few photos. Who said religious life was dead ? Their novitiate percentage is about 10%. They all wear habits. Their names are centered on Christ, Mary etc., their mission is to teach, to help the elderly, to promote life, to lead contemplative lives, in short the young nuns are more like nuns of old, St. Theresa of Avila rather than Sr. Chittister. The photos, their contrast, speaks a clear language. The older sisters who kept the faith through all the stupidity after Vatican II are now being rewarded with a flood of young sisters. As Pope Benedict said, «L’Ecclesia e’ giovane!» – The Church is young ! There is no merit in being young, there is no shame in being old – but the fact that these groups HAVE young sisters at all – and so many at that – puts them at stark contrast to the group below. These are healthy communities, encompassing young, middle-aged and old. Faith has been rewarded.

LES SELV.

På bloggen Closed Cafeteria leser jeg i dag en ganske enkel analyse av hvilke (kvinnelige) ordenssamfunn som vokser, og hvilke som holder på å dø ut.
