For det ene er navnene forvirrende, i dag (morgen) er det 2. s\u00f8ndag <strong>etter p\u00e5ske<\/strong> (trad.) og\/eller 3. s\u00f8ndag <strong>i p\u00e5sketiden<\/strong> (ny). Denne s\u00f8ndagen er ekstra forvirrende, fordi det i den tradisjonelle kalenderen er den gode hyrdes s\u00f8ndag, mens dette temaet tas opp om en uke (4. s\u00f8ndag i p\u00e5sketiden) i den nye kalenderen. Men dette er tekstene jeg skal bruke i den tradisjonelle messen i St Joseph kirke s\u00f8ndag kl 19.00:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Epistel fra 1. Pet. 2, 21-25<br \/>\nH\u00f8ytelskede, Kristus har lidt for oss og etterlatt dere et eksempel, for at dere skal f\u00f8lge i hans fotspor. Han gjorde ikke synd, og i hans munn ble det ikke funnet svik. Han skjelte ikke igjen n\u00e5r han ble utskjelt, truet ikke da han led, men ga seg over til dem som d\u00f8mte ham urettferdig. Han bar selv v\u00e5re synder i sitt legeme p\u00e5 treet, s\u00e5 vi, d\u00f8de fra synden, skal leve for rettferd, og ved hans s\u00e5r er dere blitt legt. For dere var som villfarende f\u00e5r; men n\u00e5 er dere vendt om til deres sjelers hyrde og biskop. <\/p>\n<p>Evangelium Joh. 10, 11-16.<br \/>\nP\u00e5 den tid sa Jesus til fariseerne: &laquo;Jeg er den gode hyrde. Den gode hyrde gir sitt liv for sine f\u00e5r. Men den som er leiekar og ikke hyrde, den som ikke eier f\u00e5rene, han ser ulven komme og forlater f\u00e5rene og r\u00f8mmer, og ulven r\u00f8ver dem og jager dem fra hverandre. Leiekaren r\u00f8mmer, for han er leiekar og har ikke omsorg for f\u00e5rene. Jeg er den gode hyrde, og jeg kjenner mine, og mine kjenner meg, likesom Faderen kjenner meg, og jeg kjenner Faderen; og jeg setter mitt liv til for f\u00e5rene. Jeg har ogs\u00e5 andre f\u00e5r som ikke h\u00f8rer til denne hjord; ogs\u00e5 dem skal jeg f\u00f8re hit, og de skal h\u00f8re min r\u00f8st, og det skal bli \u00e9n hjord og \u00e9n byrde.&raquo; <\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pave Gregor den store skriver om denne teksten:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Homily by Pope St Gregory the Great. 14th on the Gospels.<br \/>\nDearly beloved brethren, ye have heard from the Holy Gospel what is at once your instruction, and our danger. Behold, how He Who, not by the varying gifts of nature, but of the very essence of His being, is Good, behold how He saith : I am the Good Shepherd. And then He saith what is the character of His goodness, even of that goodness of His which we must strive to copy : The Good Shepherd giveth His life for the Sheep. As He had foretold, even so did He; as He had commanded, so gave He ensample.
