I flere år har jeg ukentlig lest John Allen’s rapporter fra den katolske verden som ble kalt «The Word from Rome», siden Allen i flere år bodde i Roma. Nå har hans side skiftet navn til «All Things Catholic», og Allen er flyttet til New York, og rapporterer i enda større grad fra hele den katolske verden.

Allen skriver selv slik om sine planer: In fairly short order, there will be an entirely new «John Allen» page on the NCR Cafe which will contain three distinct elements:
* Daily filings Monday through Friday, and more often when big news breaks, to help put Catholic stories in context in real time;
* The regular weekly «All Things Catholic» column, which will more closely resemble a traditional column, tightly written and focused on a single idea;
* Podcasts drawn from my lectures, interviews, media appearances, and other sources.
