Nylig (3/12) deltok jeg på et katolsk-luthersk seminar om dokumentet «From Conflict to Communion». Professor Turid Karlsen Seim holdt et foredrag om prosessen bak dette dokumentet – interessant spesielt fordi hun selv var med på arbeidet med dokumentet, og kunne fortelle hvor vanskelig arbeidet hadde vært. (Også interessant fordi det nå er 7 1/2 år siden jeg studerte økumenikk ved Angelicum i Roma, og var ganske så opptatt av den katolk-anglikanske og den katolsk-lutherske dialogen.)
Før møtet lastet jeg ned og leste dokumentet som katolikker og lutheranere har utarbeidet for å markere reformasjonsmarkeringa i 2017 – LES DET HER. Lutheranerne vi nok helst kalle det et jubileum, noe som blir vanskeligere for oss katolikker, selv om tanken er makerkere Luthers teser i Wittenberg sammen 500 år etter at de ble hengt opp.
Av dokumentets seks kapitler (se under) syns jeg de historisk perspektivene i kapittel 2 og 3 var de mest interessant – endelig forstår lutheranere og katolikker hva som skjenne fra 1517-1540 mye mer på samme måte. Gjennomgangen av den tidligere dialogprosessen i kapittel 4 er også nyttig.
