På katolsk.no finner vi nå et oppsummering av Bispesynodens tre ukers arbeid med temaet Guds Ord i Kirkens liv og misjon. De skriver at synoden avsluttet sine arbeidsmøter lørdag den 25. oktober med å godkjenne 55 forslag som de presenterte for pave Benedikt XVI. For å bli med, måtte hvert av forslagene ha 2/3 flertall. Deretter lister de opp forslagene slik:

Første del av forslagene inkluderer forslag rundt Guds Ord i Kirkens tro. Forslagene i denne seksjonen er sentrert rundt hvordan katolske menigheter og fellesskap bedre kan forstå og utdype sitt forhold til Ordet, Jesus Kristus, som vi blir kjent med gjennom lesing i og meditasjon rundt Skriften. Synoden fremhever her Den hellige Ånds rolle, Kirken og tradisjonen, og også det dype forholdet mellom Skriften og Eukaristien. …

Dokumentets andre del (forslag 14-37) ser på Guds Ord i Kirkens liv. Her kommer man blant annet med konkrete forslag til forbedring av prekener, man foreslår en revisjon av Leksjonariet, og man oppmuntrer til åndelig lesning – lectio divina. .. Seksjonen oppfordrer også til å overvinne skillet mellom eksegeter og teologer, eller eksegeter og prester. …
Del 3
Forslagene 38-54, om Guds Ord i Kirkens misjon, tar opp Ordet i forhold til kunst og kultur, og oversettelser og Bibelens tilgjengelighet.
Denne seksjonen tar også opp formidling av Ordet gjennom medier, samt en fundamentalistisk tilnærming til Bibelen og fenomenet sekter. Den kommer også med innspill til interreligøs dialog, fremming av pilegrimsreiser og studier i Det hellige land, dialog med jødedom og islam, og forholdet mellom Ordet og miljøvern.
Det avsluttende forslaget er viet til Maria og oppfordrer til bønn av Angelus og Rosenkransen – kontemplasjon rundt Ordet gjennom Marias øyne.»
